I remember a memory of accompanying my grandmother along a mountain path to the distant Fudodaki Waterfall.

The paths were filled with light, the scent of forests, flowers blooming, wind blowing, rain falling, and the moon rising in the night sky.
I experienced many wondrous mysteries in this beautiful world of light and shadow.
It was also around that time that I met Buddha at my grandmother’s training place.
More than 40 years have already passed since I spent with the spirits and played with them.
It is nothing short of a miracle that I am alive today and able to paint Buddha.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the many people I have met, the people who have helped me, and the people who have supported me.

I hope that this merit and virtue will be spread throughout the world, and that we and all sentient beings will be able to achieve Buddhahood together.

Yours truly,
